Breakthrough version 2.0 sees the continuation of my inspiration was drawn from the story named: ‘The Butterfly and the Man’.

(As taken from Breakthrough Part I) "The story goes that a Man found a cocoon of a butterfly. One day a small opening appeared and he/she watch for hours how the butterfly struggles to be free of its cage. Then, the butterfly stopped. The Man, out of goodwill, decided to help and went forth to snip the remaining cocoon open. However, from that moment on, the butterfly would never be able to fly. In his haste to help, the butterfly was robbed of its natural process to remove the excess liquid from the body to the wings through the small opening and hence give its wings the potential to fly. What really intrigues me is that moment between being ‘stuck’ and finally being able to ‘fly’. It is this moment where anything could transpire. This moment, semi- wrap in its  translucency, gives the viewer an opportunity to compare what is already out in the open versus the potential that is still possible to possess. The translucent cocoon translates as a protective barrier that one would have to fight through to the unknown future (regardless if it’s in a light or dark direction). I feel this translates that life will be less about what you own and more about how wish you can live."

My collection showcase pieces in simple, feminine silhouette compile with strong concept. Each piece has a definitive detail; having a mainframe digital print as its base and the minute detail will be layered on to provide viewers with glimpses how the layers would look with or without. Outerwear will be translucent but of a firmer structure, as the translucency will soften the vibrant details within but at the same time mimic the protective layer of the cocoon. My collection is true to my brand as it showcases elemental form alongside the relatively elaborate detailing. The collection tells a story of the different
possibilities of potential behind the push for freedom. This is relatable to my philosophy of the countless possibilities that lie within the borders of Haute Couture and practical pieces. The outfits in my collection shall remain functional for daily wear alongside the compelling detail that relates to conforms of art and breakthrough.
